中英文兩種語言使用中的文化相似性在於語言的獨特性。語言的結構以及語言的內容會影響人們的思維。我們通常會有這樣的感覺, 有時外語中有些詞匯很難翻譯成漢語, 這一點更說明了語言與文化在塑造人們對世界的認識方面的重要意義, 因為每種語言都有特定的詞匯去描繪特定的經歷與思想。這些特定的經歷、思想與詞匯, 只有特定的文化才能獨有。有時我們用一些蹩腳的翻譯不能達到原語言所表達的意思要求。由於文化的原因, 個別詞匯的表達尚且如此, 帶有濃重文化色彩的詞組更是不可忽視。
